  1. *Great response Brett! The "skittles" comment was classic!

For starters, I really like where this fight is set to take place. I think it really gives Stripe an advantage due to the dark and narrow tunnels all throughout the spaceship. However, Stripe relies a lot on tools and weapons to do any sorts of damage to his opponents. So I don't really see him being able to inflict much pain on Ghost Face in this fight, regardless of the playing field.

In the end, it's only gonna take one swipe of that kitchen knife to smoke that little mohawk guy! So I gotta give this one to Ghost Face. (8-2)

  2. I agree with you guys that the spaceship gives Stripe an advantage as it gives him many places to hide and attack from. However, Stripe won't be able to hide forever and I don't see him hurting Ghostface in hand to hand. Stripe needs to find some kind of weapon to stand a chance or if he can find water then that might win him the match but I don't really see that happening. I think Ghostface will eventually get a hold of Stripe and stab him to death.

So I say Ghostface wins (8-2)

  3. I think this venue is a big advantage for Strip since he really seems to like closely confined quarters in which to do his mischief. I envision the fight going down something like this.

Ghostface wanders the spaceship halls and rooms looking for a "victim" but is not able to clearly see his adversary due to Stripe's small stature and ability to hide easily. Stripe however can see the white "glow" from Ghostface's mask and can see him coming pretty easily. Eventually, Strip happens upon some of the Alien's torture instruments like the high speed eyeball drill, etc. and develops an ambush plan of his own. When Ghostface walks unsuspectingly into the Alien interrogation room, Strip pounces on his back and plunges a scalpel through Ghostface's jugular. he finishes him off with the high speed drill bit through his orbital cavity of Ghostface's mask. Even the most knowledgeable of optometrists would admire the precision of his work.

I see this as a 7-3 victory for Stripe.

  4. The poll doesn't seem to be working at the moment but it looks like 3 votes for Ghostface and 1 for Stripe. If you guys want to discuss this fight some more or have changed your opinion, let me know before we make a final decision.

    1. Notwithstanding Ernie Smith's compelling match reconstruction (how does a gremlin learn to operate alien technology?), my vote is still for G.Face.

    2. Here is your original post that got deleted.

"Ok, so I'll weigh in first. Stripe is a clever character and the location of the spaceship affords him many places to hide. Ghostface is also pretty good at hiding, but I would say that the location gives a slight advantage to Stripe. Of course, we shouldn't expect there to be too much water on board, which would have really helped Stripe to reproduce more gremlins.

Ghostface is just a dude in a mask (he is actually several different dudes throughout the movie franchise, but each guy is characterized by psychopathic tendencies, i.e. no ability to feel compassion or empathy--maybe his pre-frontal cortex is too small). Also note that in almost half the clips in the second video, HE is the one getting kicked or punched. I would say that one of his major flaws is that he plays around too much rather than just getting the job done. He likes to drag out his kills, which leaves open a big room for error.

Overall, however, Ghostface is a pretty smart and effective killer. When they eventually meet face-to-face, I'm having a touch time imagining exactly what Stripe would do to swing the fight in his favor. He's pretty small and not overly violent; he's more about causing mischief. So, here's how I see it going down: Stripe throws some Skittles at Ghostface and uses the distraction to leap onto his back and start clawing at his face from behind, laughing hysterically the whole time. Ghostface freaks and throws off the gremlin. Then Ghostface grabs hold of the little guy on the floor and stabs him nine times in the chest and face. The Fire in the Sky aliens are very confused."

      Ghostface 7, Stripe 3
